Cummins "Legend" Engine Launched in Xiangfan

On May 30, the heavy horsepower plant of Xiangyang Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. was officially completed and put into operation, and Cummins Heavy Engine "Legend" was first launched.
The heavy horsepower factory has a total investment of 950 million yuan and covers an area of 24000 square meters. It adopts advanced digital intelligent technology to produce models with displacement of 8.5-15L and horsepower coverage of 280-660 horsepower. It is compatible with diesel and natural gas engine production, and the new heavy horsepower production line has an annual production capacity of 80000 units.
On that day, the first "Legend" engine was officially delivered to customers. Huang Haitao, general manager of Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd., said that there are 8.5L and 10L engines that meet the national emission standards and will be promoted to the global market. The production line will realize the double line operation of two engine manufacturing plants of medium horsepower and heavy horsepower, forming the manufacturing layout of two general assembly lines, 12 machining lines and one AMT Assembly line. The factory adopts advanced intelligent manufacturing technology to realize more than 20 digital scenes, including robot visual positioning fuzzy grasping, AI visual detection, equipment status detection and Preventive maintenance, off-line programming of spraying robot, real-time monitoring of tightening curve, robot intelligent patrol inspection, etc.
