On June 28, Cummins held the "First Technology Open Day" in the new base of East Asia R&D Center in Wuhan. At the meeting, Stephen Saxby, Vice President of Cummins and Chief Technology Officer of China, pointed out that Cummins had launched the "PLANET 2050" corporate strategy to address climate challenges, and launched the "Destination Zero" zero carbon goal for carbon reduction of products. In 2025, we should achieve the grand blueprint of net zero emissions.

In the face of the big wave of global carbon reduction, Cummins will take the lead in entering the era of customization 2.0.As a global pioneer in power technology, Cummins is leading the technological transformation of low-carbon and zero carbon engines. Wang Kaijun, Vice President of Cummins and General Manager of Engine Business Unit in China, pointed out that, "Achieving zero carbon requires innovation, and innovation needs to be close to the market and customers. Cummins has already built a deeply integrated industrial chain innovation ecosystem with OEMs and customers. It is this deep chain innovation that allows us to fully absorb the dynamic input of market and customer needs, and make another breakthrough in the field of customization, moving towards a new era of customization 2.0."

Moving towards a zero carbon future

At present, Cummins hydrogen internal combustion engine has planned three displacement of 15L, 10L and 6.7L. At the same time, hydrogen internal combustion engine is also the core of Cummins low-carbon zero carbon new multi fuel engine platform. Cummins new multi fuel engine platform can use a variety of fuels, including a series of low-carbon or zero carbon fuels such as clean diesel, natural gas, hydrogen, propane, etc., under the condition that most of the components are common, to provide users with a low-cost zero carbon technology path.

On the Technology Day, Cummins also showed the relevant parts and components and integrated power chain that promote the realization of low-carbon and zero carbon engines. It includes the latest turbocharging technology, fuel system, emission treatment system, and the integrated power chain including Cummins engine, Eaton Cummins Winwin transmission and Cummins Mercedes Benz axle. The integration capability of Cummins' core parts ensures that all low-carbon and zero carbon advanced technologies are transformed into practical power solutions to help customers.

The theme of this technology day is "co creation of a zero carbon future through diverse innovations in the same spectrum". In fact, this theme is like the prologue of a wonderfulstory. In the next ten years or even more, Cummins will run through the whole process of future development, leading it to the goal of "zero carbon".
