Recently, Cummins signed a letter of intent with Taylor Machine Works Inc., a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty forklifts in the United States, to include Cummins 6.7-liter and 15-liter hydrogen internal combustion engines in the Taylor product plan. This cooperation will help relevant industries achieve decarbonization goals, including industrial steel, wood products, concrete, oil and natural gas, and ports.
Taylor has been committed to meeting the material handling needs of global industrial customers and focusing on community development since its establishment for 96 years. As an important partner, Cummins provides power for over 100 different models of Taylor heavy-duty forklifts.
Taylor and partners worked together to address the challenges posed by lifting equipment production, not only meeting the handling needs of heavy materials, but also helping to improve neighboring communities. Beyond Clean Lifting "is Taylor Machinery's commitment to sustainable development in the future and demonstrates its tireless efforts to develop low-carbon and zero carbon solutions, covering the entire product line, including all electric trucks, hydrogen fuel cell trucks, and hydrogen internal combustion engines.
Hydrogen internal combustion engine
We will create a zero carbon fuel solution to provide cost-effective equipment for high load and high usage applications. The main benefits of using this technology include providing more timely solutions, reducing carbon emissions without sacrificing productivity. Adding hydrogen internal combustion engines to the zero carbon solution portfolio can also help alleviate the tension of the public power grid and reduce the required load. In addition, hydrogen internal combustion engines have universality with traditional internal combustion equipment, providing users with reliable and easy to maintain solutions.
