In recent years, China's auto parts exports have grown year by year. According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China's auto parts exports reached 324.6 billion yuan in the first half of 2024, and the total export of complete vehicles in the same period was 391.76 billion yuan. As the proportion of online sales continues to grow, auto parts have become an important export category for China's cross-border e-commerce.
Lin Wenkui, general manager of eBay's International Cross-border Trade Division in China, said: "The online auto parts market continues to grow. The auto parts category is one of the most advantageous categories on the eBay platform. The track for auto parts to go overseas is long, full of opportunities and challenges. It is reported that as one of the world's largest online trading markets for auto parts, the annual transaction volume of complete vehicles and accessories such as automobiles and motorcycles on the eBay platform exceeds US$10 billion. According to platform data statistics, in 2023, Guangdong Province's cross-border e-commerce exports of auto parts will lead the country and rank first. Among them, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia are the best-selling overseas markets for Guangdong sellers, and sales in the four major markets have increased by double digits year-on-year. In 2023, the most popular auto parts categories for Guangdong sellers on the platform include headlight assemblies, navigation and reversing images, turbochargers and automatic transmission accessories, etc., and sales have increased by more than 50% year-on-year.
