On September 22, the 2024 China New Energy Vehicle Parts Trade Fair kicked off at the Shiyan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hubei, the capital of China's commercial vehicles.
Pure electric power drives the new trend of green energy
As the flagship models of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles, Dongfeng Tianlong KL and Dongfeng Tianjin KR have excellent performance and wide applicability. They have long been at the top of the sales rankings since they were launched. In this exhibition, the new energy models of these two vehicles took the lead, showing Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles' determination to innovate technology and practice green development. The first is the Dongfeng Tianjin KR pure electric truck equipped with Dana electric drive axle 2-speed AMT. The battery capacity of the vehicle is 162kWh, the peak power of the motor reaches 160kW, and it uses single-gun DC. The charging time can be controlled within 1 hour, which greatly solves the problem of long-term charging of electric vehicles.
The Dongfeng Tianlong KL pure electric tractor uses Suzhou Green Control electric drive axle with DF400A rear axle, which can ensure its stability and reliability under full load conditions; it uses CATL batteries with a capacity of 423kWh and a motor peak power of 450kW, which is powerful and has a long endurance. The vehicle is also equipped with an electronic braking system (EBS), an electronic stability program (ESC), a lane departure warning system (LDWS), and a forward collision warning system (FCWS), which provide all-round safety protection through mutual cooperation. Another Dongfeng Tianlong KL hybrid tractor is also equipped with CATL batteries and the DDi11 engine independently developed by Longqing. The motor peak power reaches 337kW+150kW, which is more conducive to achieving a balance between fuel economy, cruising range and environmental protection.
On the other hand, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles has also spared no effort in the new energy transformation in the field of special vehicles. The Dongfeng Tianlong KC pure electric engineering vehicle, Dongfeng Tianjin KR pure electric sanitation vehicle, and Dongfeng Tianlong KC pure electric mixer truck presented at this exhibition are of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrading of the entire industry towards new energy. It is worth mentioning that the Dongfeng Tianlong KC pure electric engineering vehicle, which combines CATL batteries, Green Control 4-speed AMT, and Handman 300 rear axle, combines the advantages of electric motors and the flexibility of multi-speed gearboxes, helping the vehicle to maintain a more efficient operating range even during frequent acceleration or climbing operations. At the same time, the vehicle battery capacity reaches 423kWh, the motor peak power reaches 450kW, the power performance is comparable to heavy trucks, and the cruising range is further optimized.
